What people usually ask
How do I connect my phone?
Tell your Hermes agent “connect my phone” — just type it in any chat. It shows a QR. Open Lar, scan it. That's the whole setup; there are no passwords. To re-pair: Settings → Reconnect.
It says “Reconnecting…” and hangs
Most likely the server is asleep. Check that the Hermes gateway is running and the Lar plugin is enabled (hermes plugins list). If the server is at home behind a router, that's fine — Lar goes through the relay on its own; it just needs the server to reach relay.larconnect.com on port 443.
The QR code isn't accepted
Codes are one-time and last 10 minutes. Ask your agent to show a new one — it's one sentence.
Voice notes don't turn into text
Speech recognition runs on your server, not on the phone. Enable STT in your Hermes config (stt.enabled: true) and provide a provider key or a local Whisper.
How do I switch the language?
Settings → Language, the very first item. By default Lar follows your system language — English or Russian.
I want to unpair an old phone
Tell your agent /devices — it lists them. Then /devices revoke <id>. Or just delete the app on that phone — the keys live only there.
Lar can do something my agent can't
Lar is only a screen. Everything it shows, your Hermes does. If something's missing, it's about the agent's setup, not the app. Write to us anyway — we'll point you in the right direction.
